Survey results, red ink, and a limited offer

Dear Reader,

The survey results are in at last! To read the detailed report, click the link button below. (If you're a new subscriber and don't know what the survey was about: I sent it around to gauge interest in the Brennan Series.)

And, now for an update...

I know many of you are wondering when the first three books of the Brennan Family Series are going to be published. The answer is, I’m working on it! The first time you try publishing a book (or three books), it’s hard to know just how long it’s going to take. I just finished facing a lot of red ink. See what I mean?

This is what my entire 240-page manuscript (Book 1) looked like, freshly back from the editor. While I'm happy with many of the changes she made, it took me a long time to sort through it all. However, I'm happy to report that I'm finished - and Book 1 has been sent to the printers! I have Books 2 and 3 to review yet; I'm still hoping to have the first three books done early next year.

I changed the cover to what is (hopefully) more appealing to the book's audience; see the new cover for Book 1 below! If you read the sample chapters, you may recognize the picture as a scene from Chapter 7, of Jason in a flooded basement.

In the meantime, I do have several digital products available for sale. The 2025 sunflower calendar is 50% off for the first 15 people who purchase it, so if you want it, don't wait around! Also, when you go to check out (with any of these products), you'll have the option to purchase a couple of the other products at a discount. No coupon codes are required. (Please note that you will receive a file, not a printed product. If you want better samples of any of the products before purchasing, please reply to this email.)

Dear Reader, The wait is over! I just published Book 3 and have copies on the way. One (or more) of those copies can be yours soon, if you place an order! I want Book 3! Here's a little more information about Book 3, plus the finalized cover... In this book, the leaves are just starting to change colors at the Brennan’s house. Dear Reader, Read on for a (long-ish but hopefully interesting) book update on Book 3, Fall with the Brennans! Book 3 has been very slow in coming. Besides the normal tasks that call for my attention, morning sickness and fatigue have been keeping me company. But I am working on editing Book 3 and I'll let you know as soon as it's done! The test readers really enjoyed Book 3, and I hope that you can enjoy it too before too long. Editing sounds boring, but it does give me some giggles. One...
